Religious Scholars to start duty in the Russian Army, mosques and churches are to be opened

Russian President Medvedev approved the decision regarding the religious scholars  to start duty officially in the army.  At the moment there are around 400 religious scholars that are in charge within the millitary units. Besides that, travelling churches and mosques are allocated.

The developments in Russia remind us of a saying by the late Muslim scholar Bediuzzaman from his work Emirdag Addendum;

“A Russian cannot stand away from religion. He cannot turn back to become a Christian, either. He can only reconcile himself with or be subject to the Qur’an, which indeed breaks the blasphemy, is based on truth and reality, relies on evidence and proof, and convinces the minds and the hearts.”
