What reason could you have for not fighting in the Way of Allah – for those men, women and children who are oppressed and say, 'Our Lord, take us out of this city whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give us a protector from You! Give us a helper from You!'? (Surat an-Nisa', 75)
"I have left among you two things; you will never go astray as long as you hold fast to them: the Book of Allah and my Sunnah." (Al-Hakim)
Masha’Allah. But the Qur’an is not such a complicated book. The Qur’an is very easy. What is lawful and unlawful is quite clear. Observances are described. Allah talks about faith in Him, faith being sincere, love being directed to Allah, avoiding ascribing equals to Him… Not forgetting Allah and basing one’s actions around other people, in other words, relating everything to Allah, Allah being loved and feared with a sincere passion, holding Him in awe, giving thanks… Allah tells people to give thanks so He will multiply their blessings. He says that He wants the best for us, but that we must give thanks and love Him as He deserves, and that we must realize this. There are signs that Almighty Allah describes. Look and think, and you will understand Me from My signs, he says. By seeing, Almighty Allah does not mean that we will see His person, but we will see His signs. (A9 TV, APRİL 29, 2012)
Solution: The Morals Of The Quran
Around the globe, the majority of people are among the oppressed. They are tortured, butchered, and live in abject poverty, are homeless, are forced to live their lives unprotected from the elements and they face disease without adequate medical care. There are those who cannot even afford a loaf of bread. There are the elderly, facing neglect, abandonment and denied medical care. Then there are those who face discrimination, expulsion from their homes and lands simply because of their ethnicity, language, race or tribe and even massacres. Helpless, malnourished, defenceless innocent children are forced to work for money or beg.
Countless people live in fear for their lives anxious about their survival, in a world in the midst of whose poverty and oppression, there is also immense extravagance, privilege and wealth. Those blessed with the "good life" pass by the homeless, see pictures, and watch scenes on television of those less fortunate than they. Sometimes they feel a brief moment of pity, but then change the channel, turn away from the image, and in a short time completely erase that fleeting prick of the conscience.
So many who enjoy the bounties and comforts with which they have been blessed, never think of expending effort to save those less fortunate from the conditions in which they live. They believe it is not up to them to save those people, when so many are richer and more powerful and in a better position to come to the aid of the less fortunate.
However, prosperity and power alone are not enough to save those people and to make this world a place of welfare in which justice, peace, confidence and well-being prevail. Despite the existence of developed countries around the world, there are still too many countries, such as Ethiopia, where people still die daily of starvation. It is apparent that the wealth and power of some nations are not enough in themselves to solve the afflictions of drought, poverty and civil warfare.
Only being conscientious will channel resources and power towards the welfare of the poor and desperate. The sole way of being conscientious is having faith. It is only the believers who constantly live by their consciences.
Eventually, there is only one solution to the injustice, chaos, terror, massacres, hunger, poverty, and oppression in the world: the values of the Qur'an.
Those adverse conditions were created in the first place by hatred, malice, self-interest, indifference and cruelty and therefore must be undone by love, compassion, mercy, generosity, unselfishness, sensitivity, tolerance, commonsense and wisdom. These traits of compassion are found only in those who fully live by the values taught in the Noble Qur'an, which is our guidance directly from our Creator. In one verse, Allah refers to the Qur'an's feature of leading mankind out of darkness into light.
... A light has come to you from Allah and a Clear Book. By it, Allah guides those who follow what pleases Him to the ways of peace. He will bring them from the darkness to the light by His permission, and guide them to a straight path. (Surat al Ma'ida, 15-16)
As you read this passage, millions of people are suffering, are cold and hungry, or facing expulsion from their homelands. For this reason, people who have consciences need to think about this, and act to solve those troubles as if they themselves or their loved ones were facing them. We need to act both spiritually and materially to alleviate the suffering and oppression.
The most important thing for Muslims is first, to struggle in the intellectual domain so that the values of the Qur'an and the Sunnah prevail over disbelief. The only salvation for the weak, helpless, homeless and destitute is the practice of the guidance of the Qur'an, which is directed to all humankind. Therefore, it is our duty to spread the word and communicate the message, and that is a vital component of worship for all Muslims.
Those who do not follow their consciences, who are indifferent to the suffering of others, who spend their wealth on frivolous and vain things, who fail to show concern for orphans, who look coldly at oppressed woman, children and the elderly, and who are happy only when there is immorality and ugliness in the world, will certainly have to give an account in the hereafter.
Have you seen him who denies the religion? He is the one who harshly rebuffs the orphan and does not urge the feeding of the poor. So woe to those who do salat (regular prayers), whose hearts from their salat are remote, those who show off and deny help to others. (Surat al-Ma'un, 1-7)
Perfection Is an Outcome Shown by Science and Prevails in All Living Structures
Darwinist claims have always been anything but scientific, and they have always used mere demagoguery and false evidence to prop their theories up. They deceive people by employing terminology that has nothing to do with the subject at hand, simply producing words without saying anything scientific at all. These are well-known evolutionist characteristics. But there has recently been another addition to Darwinists’ demagoguery.
Terms such as “perfect, magnificent, flawless,” used to emphasize the superior aspects of the structures in living things, alarm Darwinists. They respond by saying things like, “These are not scientific terms, they are personalized terms; there is no such thing as a perfect cell. What criteria are involved?”
The reason is this: Darwinists are aware that they cannot account in terms of the theory of evolution for the extraordinary order and behavior in living things, such as the golden ratio, symmetry, division of labor or planning. Their latest feeble move, a defense mechanism, is to attack these terms. In short,Darwinists are in such a wretched position as to suggest that the use of these terms is improper.
Why do Darwinists reject the concept of “perfection”?
“Perfection” is a scientific term because living structures exhibit a perfection that exceeds human abilities and sometimes even human comprehension. For example, the stages involved in plant photosynthesis are still not yet fully understood. no machine capable of making photosynthesis has thus far ever been constructed. We still do not fully understand how tiny birds weighing just a few grams can migrate thousands of kilometers, how they navigate, and where they obtain the strength to do this. The majestic nature of the order within the bee hive, how the regular hexagons in the honeycomb came about and the glory of the ventilation system in termite nests are all absolutely stunning.
In fact, Darwinists know perfectly well that the features in living things are perfect and that they cannot explain them in terms of evolution. But they still do all they can to reject the concept of “perfection.” The sole reason for this is that, in their eyes, it is impossible for there to be perfection in a structure they maintain came about by chance.
Chance cannot produce perfection. It cannot understand symmetry or the golden ratio. It cannot give rise to entire systems that engage in a division of labor at the molecular level, take precautions, leave no deficiencies and test for, and even correct, errors. All chance can produce is either nothing, or else deformed, twisted, irregular, crippled and sickly structures. That is why Darwinists are so alarmed by the use of words such as “perfect,” “extraordinary” and “flawless.”
The truth is clear, even if Darwinists try to hide from it
The fact that Darwinists try to avoid with their policy of silencing argument is this:
Proteins serve very different functions inside the cell. Every protein knows where to go and what to do at the moment it comes into being. One enfolds DNA, another indicates the location of the code in protein synthesis, one becomes a hormone and permits communication while another becomes an enzyme and catalyzes reactions. Darwinists can never succeed in performing one of the jobs of one of the thousands of proteins inside the cell. FURTHERMORE, THEY CAN NEVER EXPLAIN HOW A SINGLE PROTEIN MIGHT HAVE FORMED. Such a structure that so exceeds human abilities is, in a word, perfect.
DNA is a work of art. Some two meters long and divided into 46 chromosomes, it is folded into the cell nucleus a mere one to two microns in size using the most complex folding technique in the world. It is enzymes and proteins that do this folding. If Darwinists claim there is no perfection in this, then they have to be able to do something similar, or at least make a copy of it.
The chloroplast inside a leaf performs photosynthesis, the mechanism of which we still do not fully understand, with an amazing expertise. If Darwinists maintain that this system is not perfect, they need to be able to make a copy or to be able to do something similar.
A moon fish living in Antarctica can survive at temperatures as low as minus 56 degrees and dive down to great depths. Yet it is unaffected by sudden and intense changes in pressure, because in contrast to many mammals, its respiratory tract is flat-oval in shape, rather than round, and is capable of immediately closing under high pressure. It can also close its lungs instantaneously. This characteristic is perfection.
A seed can store and never forget all the information for a flower, a fruit or a tree. If Darwinists claim there is no perfection in this, then they need to explain how the seed can store all this information and how it can be preserved for hundreds or even thousands of years.
A hummingbird’s heart beats between 500 and 1,200 times per minute throughout the day. At night, however, it slows down so much that its heartbeat literally stops, and the bird seems not to be breathing at all. These birds expend more energy, for their size, then a modern passenger jet. If we were to expend an equivalent amount of energy, our body temperature would rise to 400 degrees and we would have to consume 45 kilos of sugar every day in order to meet that energy need. It is wondrous how this tiny animal does what is impossible for a human being.
Darwinists need to be able to account for a bat’s sonar system, bees’ navigational abilities, a bacteria’s ability to perform chemical separation, the way a scorpion can withstand ultraviolet rays, the way a salamander can renew its own organs and all the countless characteristics in living things, in terms of evolution. But since they cannot do that, living things possess superior structures to human beings and these are all amazing properties. And these show us “perfection, glory and flawlessness.”
Allah Will Perfect Him In A Single Night
The Mahdi is from us, from the Ahl al-bayt. Allah will perfect* him in a night. (* i.e., will forgive him, or give him success and the inspiration of wisdom and guidance) (Sunan Ibn Majah, vol:10, Bab: 34, p.348)
Islamic scholars have explained this hadith as follows:
The betterment of the Mahdi in a single night refers to his being given eminent status. He cannot obtain this status by work or endeavor. As stated by Almighty Allah in the Qur’an, this blessing bestowed on the Prophet (saas) has also been given to the Mahdi. In verse 52 of Surat ash-Shura, Almighty Allah has said: “Accordingly We have revealed to you a spirit (Ruh) by Our command. You had no idea of what the Book was, nor belief. Nonetheless, We have made it a Light by which We guide those of Our servants We will. Truly you are guiding to a Straight Path.” The Mahdi is the most virtuous and the most perfect person of his time in matters of religion. This shows his greatness, the exalted nature of his status, and the greatness of his rank. (Ali b. al-Sultan Muhammad al-Harawi al-Hanafi, Risaletul Mesreb)
Bediuzzaman Said Nursi refers to the Mahdi in these terms:
In the time of the worst affliction of the End Times, He will send a luminous individual who will, of course, be THE GREATEST JUDGE (a great Islamic scholar to pronounce judgements), and THE GREATEST RENOVATOR (an Islamic scholar sent at the beginning of every century to teach religious truth according to the needs of the age), A RULER, A MAHDI, A GUIDE, A SPIRITUAL MENTOR (a great teacher to whom Muslims devote themselves, the greatest teacher of the age), and he will be from the line of our Prophet (saas). (Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, Risale-i Nur Collection: The Letters, pp. 411-12)
