What He Said?What Happened?

Georgia Turkey Friendship Association, 8 April 2009

Adnan Oktar: Georgians are modest, blessed, a very pure nation. They are very beautiful people. They are a source of joy within the Turkish-Islamic  Union; being nested with such a beautiful nation, living together with them, being brothers with them…For me, Georgia is an Anatolia there. That is, when Georgia is mentioned, the first thing that occurs to my mind is Anatolia. The warmth of Anatolia, the training of Ottoman, a beauty of the Ottoman.INSHA’ALLAH IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE THE DOORS OF THE GEORGIA WILL BE OPENED. WE WILL BE TOGETHER WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL, BLESSED, HOLY PEOPLE, WE WILL BE BROTHERS. We willdrink that beautiful education, that beautiful moral perfection as much one can.

Cay TV, 18 March 2009

Adnan Oktar: We will fish all together with the Georgian fishermen, fry them and eat them together. Georgia is our heart, they are our whole brothers. They are pure Turks. A great part of Turkey is of Georgian origin. This trouble, this scourge will come to an end with the Turkish-Islamic Union. AZERBAIJAN, GEORGIA, ARMENIA; BY ALLAH’S LEAVE THEY WILL ALL BE OUR NEW NEIGHBORHOOD. WE WILL EAT, DRINK, CONVERSE, SPEAK AS WE WISH. THEY WILL COME TO US AND WE WILL GO THERE. THE BORDER GATES WILL BE WIDE OPEN. THEY WILL COME AND FISH HERE, WE WILL GO AND FISH THERE. EVERYTHING WILL BE OPEN. They have put many impediments through many a hardship. We will break all these chains, go through these impediments. We will experience a free, very prosperous, joyful and blissful life Insha'Allah.

Turkey and Georgia signed agreements to implement a passport-free travel regime. According to the new protocol the citizens of the two countries will show their identity cards instead of their passports.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili attended an opening ceremony for the modernized Sarp customs point to mark the passport-free travel agreement between the neighboring countries. Prime Minister Erdogan also gave the news of “common-gate model” regime. Implementing a passport-free regime via the Sarp border gate will also ease traffic at the gate.
