Friday preaching was performed in China

Mehmet Gormez, Director-General of Turkey"s Religious Affairs, performed his Friday prayer with Chinese Muslims at Niujie Mosque during his visit to China. All the Muslims at the mosque showed great interest to Mr Gormez who stated “Your brothers living in Turkey send their compliments to you”, and continued his preaching by reciting hadiths from the Prophet Muhammad (saas). He also prayed for Islamic World that it get blessed with peace and welfare and presented leather bound Holy Qur’an to the imam (Muslim religious leader in the mosque) of the mosque.

Mehmet Gormez was the first Director General of Turkey’s Religious Affairs who visited China for the first time in the history of Turkish Republic.
