Efkan Ala, Turkey’s Interior Minister: “Police Officers to Be in Charge of Streets”

Mr. Adnan Oktar stresses that the provinces in the Southeast and East of Turkey are constantly threatened by the PKK and highlights that the police officers must set up checkpoints and be on duty for all day long.

In his recent statement, Turkey’s Interior Minister Efkan Ala reported that the police officers will account for the streets and said: “Public security service will be available at certain police centers.”

When an incident takes place, the prosecutor can only be present at the scene if the terrorists want or decide to retreat. It should not be like that. They should not let a single terrorist there to be free; they should arrest all of them. The presence of an abundant number of soldiers and police officers would put an end to this scourge.

ADNAN OKTAR: There should be a police officer or a soldier at every step; then, they cannot find anywhere to go. Also, the people would be happy with that since our people have an affection for soldiers. This should be the case for a while until this scourge ends.

ADNAN OKTAR: It is important to protect the citizens for 24 hours a day. Those places are dangerous. The police should establish police stations there. These may be small ones. It is necessary to set up checkpoints as well. There are many armored vehicles available; the police may keep watch there by these vehicles.

Turkey’s Interior Minister Efkan Ala, emphasizing that police officers will be in charge of certain streets after the operations in the East and the Southeast of Turkey end, said: “There used to be a wardership system. And now, we regulate a similar system that indicates those who are in charge of in a specific street and neighborhood.”

Ala also said: “We will establish certain police centers to serve for preventative safety measures and some others in certain neighborhoods. This is a new concept that enables us to foresee any incident before it happens and to intervene an existing one almost immediately.”
