Darwinism Is Dead In Turkey

Kristelight Dagblad, one of Denmark’s distinguished daily newspapers, noted an article prepared by Tom Heneghan from Reuters news agency, on 29 November 2006. Headed “Darwinism is Dead in Turkey”, the article focused on Adnan Oktar’s Atlas of Creation:

DARWINISM IS DEAD IN TURKEY

Creationism is so widely accepted here that Turkey placed last in a recent survey of public acceptance of Darwin’s theory of evolution in 34 countries.

The large-format tome offers 768 glossy pages of photographs and easy-to-read text to prove that Allah created the whole world with all its species.

Atlas of Creation offers over 500 pages of splendid images comparing fossils with present-day living things to argue that life has not changed at all since Allah created life in the first place and evolution never took place.

Following these photographs, comes a book-length section arguing that Darwinism, by stressing the “survival of the fittest” claim has inspired racism, Nazism, communism and terrorism.

“The root of the terrorism plague is not any of the divine religions, but atheism, and atheism in our times is expressed with Darwinism and materialism,” it says.

Harun Yahya, has turned out over 200 books in Turkish and translated many of them into 51 other languages. The works of Oktar who is in his 50s can be found in Islamic bookshops around the world and downloaded for free over the Internet.
