“The Royal Islamic Strategy and Research Center”, a research institution based in Jordan, published a book that included the most influtential Muslims of the year 2011 with the cooperation of Georgetown University. In the work titled “The 500 Most Influential Muslims”, Mr. Adnan Oktar took place in the section called “Honorable Mentions” in the Science and Technology category. In the publication Mr. Adnan Oktar, who also took place in the most effective Muslims list in previous years, was introduced as a pioneer in the world of science with the following paragraph :

Writing under the pen name Harun Yahya, Adnan Oktar has gained international prominence as a spokesperson for creationism but also garners influence from his numerous and extensively distributed publications about Islam, and Islamic children’s books. Over 200 lavishly produced books, which have been internationally distributed (often free-of-charge), most famously his The Atlas of Creation in which tens of thousands of copies of the book were delivered to schools, scholars and research institutes throughout Europe and the United States. He is vocal about his stance against concepts such as Darwinism and materialism and is outspoken on the implementation of his ideas in the West.
