Hoofdstuk 20: SRF Conferenties: activiteiten om het publiek over de evolutie te informeren

Evolutionistische propaganda, die de laatste tijd snel toeneemt, is een serieuze bedreiging voor het nationale geloof en de morele waarden. De Science research foundation (Stichting voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek), die zich zeer wel van dit feit bewust is, heeft de taak op zich genomen om het Turkse publiek over de wetenschappelijke waarheid van de materie voor te lichten.

De eerste Istanboel-conferentie

De eerste van een serie internationale conferenties die door de Science Research Foundation (SRF) georganiseerd werd, vond in 1998 plaats met als titel: “De ondergang van de evolutietheorie: Het feit van de schepping,” het werd gehouden in Instanboel op 4 april 1998. De conferentie, die een groot succes was, werd bijgewoond door erkende experts uit de hele wereld en stelde een platform samen waarop er voor het eerst aan de evolutietheorie getwijfeld werd en deze in Turkije op wetenschappelijke basis verworpen werd. Mensen uit alle lagen van de Turkse gemeenschap maakten deel uit van deze conferentie, dit trok veel aandacht. Degenen die geen plaats konden vinden in de hal, volgden de conferentie ‘live’ vanaf een televisiecircuit buiten.

De conferentie had beroemde sprekers uit Turkije en uit het buitenland. Om de toespraken van de SRF-leden te kunnen volgen, die de heimelijke ideologische motieven die aan de evolutietheorie ten grondslag liggen, onthulden, werd er een videodocumentaire die door de SRF vervaardigd was, gepresenteerd.

Dr. Duane Gish en Dr. Kenneth Cumming, twee wereldvernieuwende wetenschappers van het Institute for Creation Research in de Verenigde Staten, zijn autoriteiten op het gebied van biochemie en paleontologie. Zij lieten met gedegen bewijsvoering zien, dat de evolutietheorie geen geldigheid heeft. Tijdens de conferentie, liet één van de meest onderscheiden Turkse wetenschappers van deze tijd, Dr. Cevat Babuna de wonderen van iedere fase van de schepping van de mens met een dia zien, die de toevalligheidshypothese van de evolutie op haar grondvesten deed schudden.

De tweede Istanboel-conferentie

De tweede internationale conferentie in dezelfde serie werd drie maanden na de eerste gehouden op 5 juli 1998 in de Camal Resit Rey-conferentiehal, opnieuw in Istanboel. De sprekers, zes Amerikanen en één Turk, gaven lezingen waarin zij lieten zien hoe het Darwinisme door de moderne wetenschap teniet werd gedaan. De Camal Resit Rey-conferentiehal, waar duizend mensen in kunnen, was tot de nok toe gevuld met aandachtige toehoorders.

De sprekers en hun onderwerpen van deze conferentie worden hieronder samengevat.

Profesor Michael P. Girouard: In zijn lezing: “Is het voor het leven mogelijk om door toeval tot stand te komen?” Michael Girouard, een professor in de biologie in Southern Louisiana University, legt met behulp van talloze voorbeelden de complexiteit van proteïnen uit, de basiselementen voor het leven, en concludeert, dat zij alleen tot stand kunnen zijn gekomen als resultaat van een kundig ontwerp.

Dr. Edward Boudreaux: In zijn toespraak: “Het ontwerp van de chemie”, Edward Boudraux, een professor in de chemie aan de University of New Orleans, merkt op, dat sommige chemische elementen bewust samengevoegd moeten zijn om het leven te laten bestaan.

Professor Carl Fliermans: Een bekend wetenschapper in de USA en een professor in de microbiologie aan de Indiana University, die zich bezighoudt met onderzoek naar: “de neutralisatie van chemische afvalproducten door bacteriën”, dit onderzoek wordt gesteund door het Amerikaanse ministerie voor Defensie, Carl Fliermans verwerpt de evolutionistische beweringen op microbiologisch niveau.

Professor Edip Keha: Een professor in biochemie, Edip Keha was de enige Turkse spreker op de conferentie. Hij presenteerde basisinformatie over de cel en benadrukte het bewijs, dat de cel alleen tot stand kan komen als resultaat van een bewust ontwerp.

Professor David Menton: Een professor in anatomie aan de Washington University, David Menton, bekeek in een toespraak die begeleid werd door een heel interessante computerdisplay, het verschil tussen de anatomie van vogelveren en reptielschubben, en bewees daarmee de ongeldigheid van de hypothese dat vogels zich uit reptielen geëvolueerd hebben.

Professor Duane Gish: Beroemd evolutionistisch expert Professor Gish, verwerpt in een toespraak met de titel: “The origin of man”, de thesis dat de mens zich uit de aap heeft ontwikkeld.

ICRE-President professor John Morris: Professor Morris, de president van The Institute for Creation Reseach en een beroemd geoloog, gaf een lezing over de ideologische en filosofische betrokkenheid die achter de evolutie liggen. Hij legde verder uit, dat deze theorie in een dogma veranderd is en dat de verdedigers daarvan met een heilig vuur in het Darwinisme geloven.

Nadat de toehoorders naar alle lezingen geluisterd hadden, waren zij ervan overtuigd, dat de evolutie en dogmatisch geloof is, dat door de wetenschap in al zijn aspekten teniet is gedaan. In navolging daarvan trok de postertentoonstelling onder de titel: “De ondergang van de evolutietheorie: het feit van de schepping”, georganiseerd door de Science Resarch Foundation en die in de lobby van de CRR Conferentie-hal tentoon werd gesteld, aanzienlijke belangstelling. De tentoonstelling bestond uit 35 posters, die ieder een basisbewering van de evolutie of een bewijs van de schepping belichtten.

De derde conferentie – Ankara

De derde internationale conferentie van de serie werd op 12 juli 1998 in het Sheraton Hotel in Ankara gehouden, deelnemers aan de conferentie – drie Amerikanen en één Turk – brachten duidelijk en substantieel bewijs naar voren, dat het Darwinisme door de moderne wetenschap ontkracht was.

Hoewel de conferentiehal van het Sheraton Hotel in Ankara ontworpen was voor duizend toehoorders, was het aantal deelnemers van de conferentie meer dan 2500. Beeldschermen werden buiten de conferentiehal opgezet voor degenen die binnen geen plaats konden vinden.

De postertentoonstelling met de titel: “De ondergang van de evolutietheorie: het feit van de schepping” die in de ruimte naast de conferentiehal gehouden werd, trok ook de nodige belangstelling. Aan het einde van de conferentie kregen de sprekers een staande ovatie, wat bewees hoe groot de verheldering voor het publiek was die van de wetenschappelijke werkelijkheid met betrekking tot het bedrog van de evolutie en het feit van de schepping.

In navolging van het succes van deze internationale conferenties is de Science Research Foundation begonnen met het organiseren van conferenties in heel Turkije. Tussen augustus ‘98 en mei ‘99 werden alleen al 60 conferenties gehouden in verschillende steden. De SRF gaat door met het organiseren van haar conferenties in verschillende delen van het land.

Activities for Informing the Public About Evolution

Evolution propaganda, which has gained acceleration lately, is a serious threat to national beliefs and moral values. The Science Research Foundation, which is quite aware of this fact, has undertaken the duty of informing Turkish public about the scientific truth of the matter.

First Conference-Istanbul

Prof. Duane Gish: “Het fossielenarchief verwerpt de evolutietheorie en laat zien, dat soorten geheel gevormd en ontwikkeld op de aarde verschenen. Dit is een concreet bewijs, dat we door God geschapen zijn.” De wereldvermaarde expert Dr Duane Gish krijgt zijn oorkonde van de SRF uit handen van Dr. Nevzat Yalcintas, een lid van het Turkse parlement. The first of the series of international conferences organised by Science Research Foundation (SRF) took place in 1998. Entitled "The Collapse of the Theory of Evolution: The Fact of Creation", it was held in Istanbul on April 4, 1998. The conference, which was a great success, was attended by recognised experts from around the world and provided a platform on which the theory of evolution was for the first time questioned and refuted scientifically in Turkey. People from all segments of Turkish society attended the conference, which drew a great deal of attention. Those who could not find place in the hall followed the conference live from the closed-circuit television system outside. The conference included famous speakers from Turkey and from abroad. Following the speeches of SRF members, which revealed the ulterior ideological motives underlying the theory of evolution, a video documentary prepared by SRF was presented. Dr. Duane Gish and Dr Kenneth Cumming, two world-renowned scientists from the Institute for Creation Research in the USA are authorities on biochemistry and paleontology. They demonstrated with substantial proof that the theory of evolution has no validity whatsoever. During the conference, one of the most esteemed Turkish scientists today, Dr Cevat Babuna illustrated the miracles in each phase of a human being's creation with a slide show that shook the "coincidence hypothesis" of evolution to its roots.

Second Conference-Istanbul

Prof. Carl Fliermans: “De moderne biochemie bewijst, dat organismen fantastisch ontworpen zijn en dat dit feit alleen al het bestaan van de Schepper bewijst.” Prof. Edward Boudreaux: “De wereld waarin we leven en de natuurlijke wetten zijn precies door de Schepper samengesteld voor ons nut, de mensen.” The second international conference in the same series was held three months after the first on July 5, 1998 in Cemal Resit Rey Conference Hall again in Istanbul. The speakers-six Americans and one Turk-gave talks demonstrating how Darwinism had been invalidated by modern science. Cemal Resit Rey Conference Hall, with a seating capacity of a thousand, was filled to overflowing by an audience of rapt listeners. The speakers and their subjects at this conference are summarised below. Professor Michael P. Girouard: In his speech, "Is it Possible for Life to Emerge by Coincidences?", Michael Girouard, a professor of biology at Southern Louisiana University, explained through various examples the complexity of proteins, the basic units of life, and concluded that they could only have come into existence as a result of skilled design. Dr. Edward Boudreaux: In his speech, "The Design in Chemistry", Edward Boudreaux, a professor of chemistry at the University of New Orleans, noted that some chemical elements must have been deliberately arranged by creation in order for life to exist. Professor Carl Fliermans: A widely-known scientist in the USA and a microbiology professor at Indiana University conducting a research on "the neutralisation of chemical wastes by bacteria" supported by the US Department of Defence, Carl Fliermans refuted evolutionist claims at the microbiological level. Professor Edip Keha: A professor of biochemistry, Edip Keha, was the only Turkish speaker of the conference. He presented basic information on the cell and stressed through evidence that the cell could only have come into being as a result of perfect creation. Prof David Menton: “Ik onderzoek de anatomische verschijnselen van levende zaken al gedurende dertig jaar. Wat ik gezien heb, is altijd het bewijs van Gods schepping geweest. Professor David Menton: A professor of anatomy at Washington University, David Menton, in a speech that was accompanied by a very interesting computer display, examined the differences between the anatomies of the feathers of birds and the scales of reptiles, thus proving the invalidity of the hypothesis that birds evolved from reptiles. Professor Duane Gish: Famous evolutionist expert Professor Gish, in his speech entitled "The Origin of Man", refuted the thesis of man's evolution from apes. ICR President Professor John Morris: Professor Morris, the president of the Institute for Creation Research and a famous geologist, gave a speech on the ideological and philosophical commitments lying behind evolution. He further explained that this theory has been turned into a dogma and that its defenders believe in Darwinism with a religious fervour. Having listened to all these speeches, the audience witnessed that evolution is a dogmatic belief that is invalidated by science in all aspects. In addition, the poster exhibition entitled "The Collapse of the Theory of Evolution: The Fact of Creation" organised by the Science Research Foundation and displayed in the lobby of CRR Conference Hall attracted considerable interest. The exhibition consisted of 35 posters, each highlighting either a basic claim of evolution or a creation evidence.

Third Conference-Ankara

The third international conference of the series was held on July 12, 1998 at the Sheraton Hotel in Ankara. Participants in the conference-three Americans and one Turk-put forward explicit and substantial evidence that Darwinism has been invalidated by modern science. Although the conference hall at the Ankara Sheraton Hotel was designed to hold an audience of about a thousand, the number of attendees at the conference exceeded 2,500. Screens were set up outside the conference hall for those who could not find place inside. The poster exhibition entitled "The Collapse of the Theory of Evolution: The Fact of Creation" held next to the conference hall also attracted considerable attention. At the end of the conference, the speakers received a standing ovation, which proved how much the public craved enlightenment on the scientific realities regarding the evolution deceit and the fact of creation. Following the success of these international conferences, the Science Research Foundation began organising similar conferences all over Turkey. Between August 98 and end 2005 alone, 2,800 conferences were held in Turkey's 72 cities and 150 districts. SRF continues to conduct its conferences in different parts of the country. Since then SRF has held conferences in England, Holland, Switzerland, Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Azerbaijan, the United States and Canada.
