Kittens are born blind and totally defenseless. The mother sleeps very little in order to be able to look after these tiny babies weighing just around 100 gr. She constantly tries keep them warm and make sure they stay near her stomach so they can feed at any moment. Although their eyes are closed for the first week they have no difficulty in finding where to drink milk. Their mothers’ milk has all the right properties for them to grow.
After some 8 weeks, kittens become able to fend for themselves. But until that time the mothers takes the most careful interest in them.
The way these creatures, devoid of any reason or consciousness, take such care of their young leads everyone to think of the Lord of reason and conscience. This behavior is only made possible by Allah, the Lord of all living things:
"There is no creature on the Earth which is not dependent upon Allah for its provision. He knows where it lives and where it dies. They are all in a Clear Book.” (Sura Hud, 6)
