How could a Muslim ever drink vine with one's eyes open? It would get stuck in his/her throat and he/she wouldn't be able to do it even if he/she wants to.  Adultery paralyzes a Muslim. He/she would feel his/her hands and feet tied, he/she wouldn't be able to cope with it. A Muslim wouldn't have the strength to commit a sin knowingly. His/her sight would be lost and he/she cannot bring his/herself to do it, insha'Allah.

In the time of our Prophet (saas) there was Buddhism, there were all kinds of mischief. There was irreligiousness, there was idolatry. The dissension was not eliminated. What Mahdi (pbuh) would do is to annihilate the mischief in his own time. The verse that states; "Strive until there is no more dissension and the religion is God's alone," means the whole world would become Muslims.

The Qur'an is interpenetrated with reason. The Qur'an equals reason, reason equals the Qur'an. The Qur'an is pure reason. It is the guide, the way to be reasonable. One would become reasonable with the Qur'an. It is not possible in any way other than the Qur'an. One might be intelligent but cannot be clever and reasonable without it.
