UNIVERSITY OF UTRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS
INTERCULTURAL AND INTERRELIGIOUS STUDIES WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF THEOLOGY
18 December 2006
A few days ago I received a most wonderful and exciting book, Harun Yahya’s Atlas of Creation. It is a splendid illustration of the prehistoric past of our earth, with so many fossils engraved in stone and marble. Besides, it has a very powerful argument against evolutionism and in favour of the doctrine of creation by an Almighty Knowing Being, commonly called God, Allah, Tuhan, or with other names.
... Within the department of theology of Utrecht University we study scripture, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and Muslim. We will take your writing into consideration and therefore I will place your book in our University Library. As sign of our gratitude I herewith send you a series of comments on the story of creation as found in the Islamic tradition and especially among Muslims of Indonesia, my specialization. ...
Yours,
Karel Steenbrink
Professor Emeritus of Intercultural Theology
