The Turkish Armed Forces on Demand for Modern Weapons

Mr. Oktar often indicates that it is very important to provide advanced weapons to the army in order to make them deterrent in the fight against the PKK.

Indeed, as Mr. Oktar stated, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) announced that arrangements were made to buy modern weapons and equipment for the army.

ADNAN OKTAR: The PKK has long-range arms, such as 1500 meters. Our soldiers have arms with a range of five-six hundred meters. When a weapon has five-hundred-meter range, it shoots but it can not reach the target. That is, our soldiers need more qualified weapons.

ADNAN OKTAR: The PKK has very advanced weapons that our soldiers don’t have. Their arms have a range of one, one and a half and even two kilometers. Turkish army should have a great superiority in terms of weapons.

ADNAN OKTAR: First of all, against the PKK kalekols (high security police checkpoints) should be built on the mountains.  Gun threat is important to discourage the PKK. Our soldiers should be provided with very quality weapons. Instead of spending money on building new facilities, we must buy weapons for our soldiers.

The Turkish Armed Forces determined the lacking equipment and weapon systems that it lacked for a while in the street fights in Southeast of Turkey. According to this;

All commando brigades will be provided with composite helmets with high ballistic protection which are also used by the American Special Forces. Total amount of purchase has been approximately set as 22 thousand. Similarly, ballistic protective vest will also be provided for every soldier.  

“Angled weapons” which allow soldiers to shoot the target by staying in the background are also among the weapons that will be purchased. Medium and long range sharpshooter rifles, sighting device and night vision systems are also on the purchase list.
