The Sacred Relics in Lake Tiberias will neither decay nor undergo any change until Hazrat Mahdi (as) brings them out

In al-Ghaybah al-Numani: Ibn Ukda relates from Abdullah ibn Sinan, through Muhammad ibn Mufaddal, Sa’dan ibn Ishaq, Ahmad ibn Husain, Muhammad al-Qatvani and Hasan ibn Mahbub:

I heard Abu Abdullah [Ja’far Sadik (as)] say:

Moses’ [as] staff was the branch of one of the trees of paradise, which Jibril [as] gave to him when he wished to go to the city of Madyan. That staff is in Lake Tiberias together with the coffin of the Prophet Adam [as]. They neither decay nor alter until the Qaim [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] eventually appears and brings them both forth.

THE STAFF OF MOSES AND THE SAKINA ARE INSIDE MOSES’ ARK. THE SAKINA IS A SPEAKING SPIRIT FROM ALLAH

Muhammad ibn Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn Walid (ra) relates from Yunus ibn Abdurrahman through Muhammad ibn Hasan as-Saffar, Ibrahim ibn Hashim and Ismail ibn Merrar:

I asked Abu’l Hasan [as]:

“What kind of thing was the “Ark of Moses” and what were its dimensions?”

3 x 2 yards” he replied.

What is inside it?” I said.

The staff of Moses and the sakina” he said.

What is the sakina?” I said.

It is a speaking spirit from Allah. When they fell into dispute over any matter it spoke to them and explained them what they wanted to know,“ he said.

THE SAKINA IS A SWEET BREEZE OF PARADISE

My father (ra) related from Abu Hammam Ismail ibn Hammam through Sa’d ibn Abdullah and Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa:

Imam Riza [as] asked someone, “What do you think the sakina is?” Those around did not know and asked him what it was.

He replied:

It is a sweet breeze of paradise. It comes in the shape of a human being and accompanies the prophets. It appeared to Abraham [as] when he was constructing the Kaaba and showed him what to do, and he constructed the foundation accordingly.”
