The Qatar Crisis

1760

The Middle East is the heart of the world where the majority of the population are Muslims. Since it has geopolitical importance and is the land of rich sources like oil and natural gas, it has constantly been the core of conflicts due to the plots played by outsiders. These outsiders vary from one country to another; however, all are controlled by one single brain, one single hub and that is the British deep state. The policies that coerced the Middle East into a bloodbath have always been the work of the same center, given the fact that most of the modern Middle Eastern nations were founded by Britain. The borders of the present-day Middle Eastern countries were drawn up at the Cairo meeting presided over by Winston Churchill.

Most of the Muslim countries have fallen prey to these evil plots from time to time. As a heinous tactic of this hub, it has been continuing its firm steps by trampling over the Muslim countries respectively. For example, not long ago it was Iraq, by using the fake pretext of the presence of weapons of mass destruction they invaded the country: Today, it is not hard to see the current situation in the country and how it is getting worse day by day. Then, Libya, Syria, Yemen followed. It’s worth noting that Bernard Lewis, the mastermind of the Afghanistan and Iraq invasions, the Iran-Iraq War, the Iranian Revolution, the Red Crescent Project, the fragmentation of the Middle East, the Clash of Civilizations and the Age of Muslim Wars, was a British military intelligence officer under the influence of the British deep state.

The key objective of the British deep state is to leave the Islamic world fragmented and weak because an unstable Muslim world, in political, social and economic terms, fits their agenda. Today, it is Qatar’s turn to be the victim of similar ruthless strategies. Since the Qatar crisis has shaken the world and came to the fore all of a sudden on June 5th on the grounds of financing terrorist groups, the bedrock is not how it seems. Again the British deep state is using a similar scheme by setting Islamic countries at loggerheads with one another. Several GCC countries, led by Saudi Arabia and Egypt, have abruptly imposed severe sanctions and blockaded the country. It is not the first time this has happened to Qatar.   In 2014, Saudi- led Gulf States suspended diplomatic relations with Qatar for several months.  According to Mehran Kamrava, head of the Center for International and Regional Studies at Georgetown University's outpost in Doha, "This is far more dramatic than the diplomatic row that occurred in 2014."[1] As Qatar is a peninsula having only one land border with Saudis where nearly half of its imports pass through, this time the sanctions have been considerably tougher as Saudi Arabia has shut its border and the GCC states have ceased air and ground shipments to Qatar.

Iran and Turkey were the nations to start  sending “humanitarian aid” shipments both by sea and by air to Doha as President Erdogan stated that what was being done to Qatar was a grave mistake and described the isolation of Qatar as "inhumane and against Islamic values."[2] Russia has also declared its support for Qatar. Again, the key players in the Syria Civil War came to the scene and hopefully this alliance will play a major role in ending this unwanted crisis. Turkey has been carrying out intensive shuttle diplomacy with the involved countries and also the US. Imposing an embargo - especially a food embargo - only helps to victimize the innocent residents in the country. It is the people, the civilians, who are suffering due to this blockade. Moreover, isolating a country is not the right way of resolving issues. Today, they want to isolate Qatar and Turkey. In the past, they wanted to isolate Iran and Russia. A strong and firm alliance of those states that are being isolated would deal a great blow to the plotters. We have seen it come true regarding the Syrian Civil War in the Astana meetings, as solid steps have been taken after a long time of no change.

Turkey has long known to be on the side of its allies, especially when they are in need. With this attitude, Turkey has played as a game changer in the region: For instance, it was on the side of Russia when the West ostracized them; it hosted the refugees fleeing Syria and Iraq; it never cut its joint ties with Iran when it was isolated in the days prior to the P5+1 nuclear deal and now Turkey is giving support to Qatar in its most difficult days. Without the backing of Iran and Turkey, Qatar would not be able to resist this oppression.

With regards to the signing of the Qatar-Turkey defense cooperation contract on 19 December 19 2014, Turkey has established a military base in Qatar. Following the official resolution of the National Assembly of the Turkish Republic, Turkey has recently deployed 5,000 soldiers to the country. Even though this action has attracted a good deal of attention, it does not mean to indicate that Turkey wants to escalate the conflict; on the contrary, the presence of the army will open the way to solving the crisis via diplomacy. Concerning the criticisms of this military base, Turkey’s Defense Minister, Fikri Isik, said, "The base in Qatar is both a Turkish base and one that will preserve the security of Qatar and the region."[3]

It would be fair to say the target in this crisis is not only Qatar but also its long-term allies: Turkey and Iran, since Saudi Arabia and its allies put forth a 13-point list of demands that include cutting diplomatic links with Iran, shutting Turkey’s military base in Qatar and closing the Al-Jazeera TV network. President Erdogan considered the list as “against international law.”[4] At the same time, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani recently condemned the “siege of Qatar” and stated that “Iran’s air space, ground and sea will be open to Qatar as a ... friendly nation."[5] As per the latest news reports, Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said the list "was meant to be rejected".[6]

As two powerful states of the Middle East, Turkey and Iran have always been a friend of those who are in need and have always chosen a humane path. It is disturbing to see how the hidden driving force in the region are provoking hostility between Muslim countries and these countries have sadly fallen into this trap seemingly desirous of   annihilating each other. These Muslim countries certainly did not act in concert and unity when Muslims suffered in Iraq, in Syria. However, when the British deep state provokes hostilities among Muslims, even simply over the Internet, some Muslim countries get into the act. It is time for Muslims to see the real motives behind these schemes, be cautious, and foil these plots just like Turkey and Iran do. It is also essential for world leaders to speak out for Qatar, continue to give messages of reconciliation and show that they are in favor of diplomacy to put an end to this unpleasant crisis.
