Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview on A9 TV dated 4 May 2012

“But the Messenger and those who believe along with him have strove with their wealth and with themselves. They are the people who will have the good things. They are the ones who are successful.” They devote their property and selves completely to Allah. “They have strived,” they have striven. (Surat at-Tawba, 88)

Allah says He will save them alone. Because this is a complete emphasis of His love. People are made to love possessions and give those things they love to Allah. They give Allah’s property to Allah. They give the soul bestowed by Allah back to Him. This is an expression of love of Allah. “They are the people who will have the good things. They are the ones who are successful.” Almighty Allah is right.

“Allah has prepared Gardens for them with rivers flowing under them, remaining in them timelessly, for ever. That is the great victory.” (Surat at-Tawba, 89) It is endless. “The desert arabs came with their excuses asking for permission to stay, and those who lied to Allah and His Messenger stayed behind. A painful punishment will afflict those among them who are unbelievers.

(Surat at-Tawba, 90)

This refers to the Bedouin, rural dwellers. Look, they lie to Allah and His Messenger. “I have my children, my school and my business. So you give us permission, let us not get involved in all that,” they said. “What about the other people who have gone?” we ask. They reply; “Let them. But we want to concentrate on our jobs and businesses. We have our schools and marriages to think of.” “A painful punishment will afflict those among them who are unbelievers.”

That is what they deserve.

“There are only grounds against those who ask you for permission to stay when they are rich.” Because they like staying at home with their possessions. “They were pleased to be among those who were left behind.” They want passive jobs. Like the methods employed by those who believe in a collective personality. “Allah has sealed up their hearts so they do not know.”

They are busy with their businesses and their own affairs.  (Surat at-Tawba, 93)

“They will make excuses to you when you return to them.” These frauds speak well and have a fine knowledge of demagoguery. “Say: ‘Do not make excuses, we will not believe you’.” These frauds tell lies. “Allah has already informed us about you.” The bigots of that time were the same and told the same lies. They look people right in the eye and lie to them. “Allah will see your actions, as will His Messenger.” You will see the evil deeds you perform. Allah is seeing what you do now. The Mahdi (pbuh) will also see their vile behavior.  “Then you will be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible,” You will be returned to Allah, Who knows all secret and other knowledge. “and He will inform you regarding what you did.” (Surat at-Tawba, 94) Allah says He will tell you of all four frauds and trickery and everything.

“They will swear to you by Allah when you return to them, so that you leave them alone.” These bigots are always remembering the name of Allah. “Leave them alone, then!” Allah says to have nothing to do with them. “They are filth. Their shelter will be Hell as repayment for what they did.” The bigots. (Surat at-Tawba, 95)

“They will swear to you to make you pleased with them,” they tell lies by remembering the name of Allah and speaking about Islam and the Qur’an, Allah says. “but even if you are pleased with them,” even if they deceive you, “Allah is certainly not pleased with deviant people.

(Surat at-Tawba, 96) Allah says that He is never pleased with such people.

“The desert arabs are more obdurate in unbelief and hypocrisy and more likely not to know the limits which Allah has sent down to His Messenger. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”

(Surat at-Tawba, 97)

People brought up in rural areas do not receive the same kind of education as people from cities, and are less mannered and polite; Allah says that since Islam is a city religion, Medina, they are more disposed to negativities. But there are also good Bedouin.

“Among the desert Arabs there are some who regard what they give as an imposition and are waiting for your fortunes to change.” These immoral rural types. “The evil turn of fortune will be theirs! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”

(Surat at-Tawba, 98) Disasters always afflict hypocrites. They imagine they will always affect Muslims. This is a most amazing law of Allah.

“And among the desert Arabs there are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day” These are the good ones among those desert dwellers. “and regard what they give as something which will bring them nearer to Allah and to the prayers of the Messenger.” Our Prophet (saas) prays for them. “O Lord, forgive their sins. Give them health and goodness,” he says, and offers up other, similar fine prayers. He speaks of things which will bring them closer to Allah. They buy books or food and hand them out to Muslims and do other things to help the poor. “It does indeed bring them near. Allah will admit them into His mercy. Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(Surat at-Tawba, 99)

“Those who were left behind were glad to stay behind the Messenger of Allah.” Allah’s Messenger, His prophet, is the Mahdi of the time. In other words, they were happy to remain apart from Muslims and to have a good time with their own families. “What a fine thing we are doing. How great it is to be away from Muslims. We have no responsibilities, dangers, risks, need to work hard or anything. We can just lie about. This is lovely…” they delightedly say. “They did not want to struggle with their wealth and themselves in the Way of Allah.” Why should I spend on Allah’s path. Let those who want to do so. Why should I give up my life? I just get up, attend to my own affairs and go to bed again. I wander round with my friends and families. What business have I on that path?” they say.  "They said, ‘Do not go out to fight in the heat’.” The weather is too hot, we are exhausted. “What business do we have engaging in such activities with Muslims, when we could be splashing in the sea or enjoying the cool air of the mountain plateaus?” they say. “Say: ‘The Fire of Hell is much hotter, if they only understood’.

(Surat at-Tawba, 81) Allah hints that He will cast them into hell.

“Let them laugh little and weep much, in repayment for what they have earned.

(Surat at-Tawba, 82)

Who will laugh little? The unbeliever. What do the bigots say? “Do not laugh.” So this passage is addressed to you. You will laugh little, that is true. Because you are so vile. Why should Muslims laugh little? Allah makes them laugh little as an affliction. Let them weep. What do they say? “If you cannot weep, you must force yourselves. We must force ourselves to weep,” they say. Allah has sent you a scourge and you are unaware of it. Look, they come under the scope of the Qur’an.

“If Allah returns you to a group of them, and they ask you for permission to go out, say, ‘You will never go out with me, nor will you ever fight an enemy with me’.” Filthy, horrible people do filthy, horrible things. “You were happy to stay behind the first time, so stay behind with those who are left behind.” Almighty Allah says they were used to behaving immorally. They were used to sitting around and eating and drinking with their parents. (Surat at-Tawba, 83) Damn you, do what you like. Stay away from Muslims, afflictions have been visited on you, says Almighty Allah.

“Never pray over any of them who die” hypocrites are so immoral and vile that one should not pray over them. “or stand at their graves.” Almighty Allah says not even to visit their graves.

“They rejected Allah and His Messenger and died as deviators.

(Surat at-Tawba, 84) They are so vile, says Allah.

“Do not let their wealth and their children impress you.” For example, they go and spend their money and assets, they have fun, they swim in the sea and jump up and down. They may make a lot of money and sit making a lot of noise with their children and extended families. But Allah says you must not envy them all their fun and pleasures. “Allah merely wants to punish them by them in this world, and for them to expire while they are unbelievers.” (Surat at-Tawba, 85) To punish them in this world… Allah says He will punish them in this world. He says He is affording them the means in order to kill them in great suffering. He says He will kill them and take their souls from them in great torment.

"When a sura is sent down saying: ‘Believe in Allah and strive together with His Messenger,’ those among them with wealth will ask you to excuse them, saying, ‘Let us remain with those who stay behind’.

(Surat at-Tawba, 86)

“Let us go to our own homes and take care of our own affairs. Leave me alone so I can be with my family,” they say. “You can do it, but what affair is it of ours? Let us take care of our own affairs. I want to sit and eat with my parents and have fun and play backgammon and go down to the sea,” they say. They want to sit and scratch, heedless of anything. These people love sitting about.

“They are pleased to be with those who stay behind.” They take no interest in religion, Islam and spreading the faith. “Their hearts have been stamped so they do not understand.

(Surat at-Tawba, 87)

They are bovine, and do not understand what you say; they look at you lie animals. “Like a dog,” Allah says in one verse. “… His metaphor is that of a dog: if you chase it away, it lolls out its tongue and pants, and if you leave it alone, it lolls out its tongue and pants.

(Surat al-Ar’af, 176)

“But the Messenger” The Messenger, the Mahdi. Our Prophet (saas) is the greatest Mahdi. “…and those who believe along with him have strove with their wealth and with themselves. They are the people who will have the good things. They are the ones who are successful.

(Surat at-Tawba, 88)

The messenger and those who strove with him, that select community, spread Allah’s religion by giving up all their goods and lives.

“They will swear to you by Allah when you return to them...” Muslims having obtained victory. “Leave them alone, then! They are filth. Their shelter will be Hell as repayment for what they did,” says Allah. Then in a shameless way, as if they had never left Muslims in the lurch, they say, “Where were we? We were all together…” They never stop that foolishness because they are insane.

Their shelter will be Hell as repayment for what they did.

 (Surat at-Tawba, 95)

“Nothing is held against the weak and sick nor against those who find nothing to spend, provided they are true to Allah and His Messenger – there is no way open against good-doers, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” He calls on people to be devoted to Allah, the Qur’an, His Messenger, the imam, the Mahdi (pbuh) and to do good deeds. He spreads and describes Islam. “Nothing is held against the weak and sick nor against those who find nothing to spend, provided they are true to Allah and His Messenger.” They have no responsibility to spend on the path of Allah because they have nothing to spend. But they strive alongside Muslims and do not abandon them. “There is no way open against good-doers, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

(Surat at-Tawba, 91) Allah says that if you do good, no way will be against you.

“nor is anything held against those who, when they came to you for you to provide them with mounts,” a horse or a donkey or something. “and you said, ‘I cannot find anything on which to mount you’,” they wanted to go preaching but there was no transport to go preaching with, and no money. They wanted to spread Islam. Alongside the Prophet (saas). They were saddened because of their lack of transport and money and inability to preach that “turned away with their eyes overflowing with tears, overcome by grief at having nothing to give.”

But Allah says they bear no responsibility. Allah shows in the Qur’an the sort of spirit that Muslims must possess.

(Surat at-Tawba, 93)

“There are only grounds against those who ask you for permission to stay when they are rich. They were pleased to be among those who were left behind.” They do not want to spread Islam. They go alongside their families and people. “Allah has sealed up their hearts so they do not know.”

Look, Allah again emphasizes the character of the hypocrite.

Surat at-Tawba, 75

“Among them there were some who made an agreement with Allah: ‘If He gives us of His bounty we will definitely give alms and be among the righteous.

They live in luxury houses with plenty of food and drink and clothes to wear. They have means and food and everything. But they say they will give them away for Islam and be honest, genuine Muslims. They swear to Allah.

Surat at-Tawba, 76

“But when He does give them of His bounty,” when He gives them plenty of assets, a car and a house, they eat and drink.  “they are tight-fisted with it and turn away,” they then turn their faces away. That comfort does them no good. They turn their backs on Muslims .

Surat at-Tawba, 77

“so He has punished them by putting hypocrisy in their hearts until the day they meet Him because they failed Allah in what they promised Him and because they lied.” They do not keep their promise to Allah. They promise to abide by the Qur’an. And they tell lies to Muslims and intrigue against them. Allah says they will remain hypocrites until the day of their death.

Surat at-Tawba, 74

“They swear by Allah that they said nothing,” yet denial pours from their mouths. They speak unbelief. “but they definitely spoke the word of unbelief” they are unaware, but they are in a state of unbelief. Being separate from Muslims, not serving on the path of Allah… unbelief pours from their mouths in many regards. “and returned to unbelief after their Islam.” They ceased being Muslims, Allah says. “They planned something which they did not achieve” They head in the direction of filthiness. “and they were vindictive,” this time they attacked Muslims. They are at ease alongside Muslims, yet that ease and comfort drag them down and drive them crazy. Then being apart from Muslims is not enough for them, and this time they go crazy and attack Muslims. They expend the energy they should use for preaching against unbelief and spreading Islam on attacking Muslims instead. “for no other cause than that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them from His bounty. If they were to repent, it would be better for them. But if they turn away, Allah will punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the hereafter, and they will not find any protector or helper on the earth.

He inflicts great torment in this world, and that is a miracle. This can be seen while they are still in the world. Allah promises to do this, and it certainly happens. Sooner or later, it happens. “they will not find any protector or helper on the earth.”

Almighty Allah says they have no friends or protectors. They have no parents and no true friends, He says. They are filthy and all hostile to one another. People with a hypocritical character are inimical toward and disgusted by one another. They generally detest one another. Allah says in one verse that their hearts are in pieces. He says the hypocrites do not love one another, though they may pretend to do so.

Hypocrites do not generally have intelligent facial expressions. All the hypocrites I have ever seen have looked utterly bovine. That is the wisdom of Allah. Because they are dead. Allah says that one imagines them to be alive, but they are dead. Their eyes look, but do not see, He says. “They do not hear,” He says. They appear to listen, but they do not understand. “The eyes of their hearts are blind,” he says. He says they are like animals, or even lower than animals. Animals are superior to them, He says. But there are many such people in society. There are many such zombies, living dead. They are like piles of flesh. They such aim to survive, like simple organisms. Like amoebas or bacteria. Where do bacteria live? In filthy places. They can only survive there. It is the same with hypocrites. They are like clumps of flesh in a filthy environment.

“Say: ‘Act, for Allah will see your actions, and so will His Messenger and the believers. You will be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible and He will inform you regarding what you did.’”
