Good And Evil According To The Quran - I

Good and evil are probably concepts that people have talked and thought about the most. Most individuals try to be "good", according to their own standards, and to protect themselves and their loved ones from the evil actions of others. It's indeed most important to behave in such a way as to avoid evil. But many who expend great efforts to do so may have never thought about how close evil lies to them. Some have never considered the facts presented to them in the Qur'an, and think that evil is evil only when it is openly seen or and clearly experienced. For example, everyone knows that revenge, anger, jealousy, selfishness and lying are evil. They recognize that a person is vindictive when they see his anger, and a liar when they hear him telling lies.

Besides this, when the word evil is mentioned, actions generally accepted as wrong come to mind: murder, theft, treating others unfairly and other breaches of basic behavioral norms. Because they avoid such behavior and criticize it in others, they may therefore regard themselves as far removed from evil in general. However, evil has insidiously hidden aspects that cannot be clearly seen-and which many may not want to accept as elements of evil.

The reason is that those who don't live according to the Qur'an have their own measures of truth and falsehood. They determine their concepts of good and evil on the basis of their own beliefs, thoughts, attitudes and social education. However, the one place where we can learn the real meaning of good and evil is the Qur'an-the Holy book that Allah has sent to teach people right and wrong and to bring them from darkness into Light. Prophet Muhammad (saas) emphasized the importance of learning the Qur'an and teaching it to others, thus:

"The best among you [Muslims] are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it to others." (Sahih Bukhari)

In the Qur'an, Allah explains what good and evil are and shows what draws a person toward evil. The Qur'an tells us that true good resides in the behavior of those who fear Allah and observe the limits He has set: "... rather devoutness is possessed by those who guard against evil... " (Surat al-Baqara: 189)

Whatever happens to him, a person who fears Allah will behave in a way that will please Allah and in accordance with the Qur'an. At every moment of his life he will exhibit this commendable behavior. A person will be led to always think and act rightly if he knows that everything that happens around him occurs under Allah's control and that everything happens for a good reason-and if he considers that in the Afterlife, he will be confronted with everything he has done both openly and in secret. Therefore, to be able to live a good life in the true sense, a person must fear Allah, believe in the Afterlife and make it his purpose to win Allah's favor. According to the Qur'an, behavior that does not conform to these standards is not truly good.

Not a single fossil belonging to a half dog/half bear creature has yet been found, although thousands of fossils show that bears were always bears and dogs were always dogs. For 150 years, in every corner of the world, Darwinists have sought fossils that will offer evidence for the so-called evolution of fish. However every fossil discovered so far reveals that fish have not undergone any evolution, but were created. To date, evolutionists have found neither a living creature that may be the so-called ancestor of fish, nor any fossils representing the intermediary stages fish have supposedly undergone. On the contrary, hundreds of thousands of fossils show that throughout prehistory, fish have always remained as fish. One of them is the 54-37 million-year-old sunfish fossil pictured. Evolutionists are desperate in the face of these fossils that prove to be evidence of creation.

Did the universe have a beginning?

That is one of the questions that man searched for an answer to for hundreds of years. Those people who grasped the fact that the universe had a Creator also believed that it had a beginning. Some people, however, refused to accept the existence of a Creator, for which reason they claimed that the universe had no beginning, that it had existed for all time and would continue to do so for ever. The present level of science, however, has clearly demonstrated that these people were mistaken.

A number of theses regarding the origin of the universe have been put forward, yet nowadays all scientific circles are agreed on one thing. One recent scientific discovery was able to shed light on the issue. It was discovered in 1929 by Edwin Hubble that the universe is constantly expanding. Using that fact as a starting point, scientists formulated an important hypothesis: If the flow of time in an expanding universe were reversed, then the whole universe could be thought of as a contracting system, like a giant star growing smaller and smaller for instance.The inevitable conclusion is that a universe which grows smaller over time must eventually come to a single point. In other words, the universe formed with the expansion of that single point in an explosion.

In short, the universe we live in did have a beginning. This, in turn, means that it was brought into being by an infinitely powerful Creator.

This infinitely powerful Creator is the Almighty Allah. And only He existed before living things, the planets, the galaxies, the entire universe, and even time itself had been created. Because He is the First.

 
  
  THE EVOLUTION DECEIT:  
 

 

Birds' Wings Cannot Be the Work of Chance


Evolutionists maintain that birds evolved from reptiles—though this is impossible, and a bird’s wing alone is sufficient to prove this. In order for evolution of the kind claimed to have taken place, a reptile’s forearms would have to have changed into functional wings as the result of mutations taking place in its genes—and quickly! And this is not feasible. First of all, this transitional life form would be unable to fly with only half-developed wings. It would also be deprived of its forearms. That would mean it was essentially deformed and therefore—according to the theory of evolution—would be eliminated.

In order for any bird to fly, its wings had to be fully formed in every detail. The wings should be soundly attached to the chest cavity. The bird would need to have a light skeletal structure allowing it to take off, maintain its balance in the air and move in all directions. Its wing and tail feathers would have to be light, flexible and in aerodynamic proportion to one another. In short, everything would have to operate with a flawless coordination in order to make flight possible. How could this inerrant structure in birds’ bodies have resulted from a succession of random mutations? That question has no answer.

Archaeopteryx Is Not the Missing Link between Reptiles and Birds

Ever since the 19th century, evolutionists have portrayed the 150-million-year old fossil known as Archaeopteryx as the greatest fossil evidence for the theory of evolution. They claimed that the fossil has a number of reptilian features that make it a -missing link- between reptiles and birds. Recent findings have invalidated this claim, however, by revealing that Archaeopteryx was a fully-fledged flying bird. In addition, the therapod dinosaurs formerly regarded as the supposed reptilian ancestors of birds are in fact much younger than Archaeopteryx' an inconvenient fact that evolutionists attempt to conceal.

A Miracle In The Universe's Expansion Rate

The universe's expansion is critical to the formation of its present state. Had it been a fraction slower, the whole of the universe would have contracted once again and collapsed on itself, before the fledgling solar systems had any chance to develop. Had its rate of expansion been only a fraction faster, matter would have been dispersed irretrievably in the vastness of space, unable to form neither stars nor galaxies.

Either situation would mean that living things, let alone we humans, could not exist.

However, neither scenario happened. Thanks to the actual rate of expansion, the universe as we know it emerged. But how sensitive is this rate, actually?

Paul Davies, a renowned Professor of Mathematics and Physics at Australia's Adelaide University, made a series of calculations in order to answer this question. The results he obtained were astonishing. According to Davies, had the expansion rate following the Big Bang been different by one in a billion billions (1/1018), the universe could not have formed! Another way of stating this figure is: "0,000000000000000001" Any divergence of such a tiny scale would have meant no universe at all. Davies interprets this result as follows:

Careful measurements put the rate of expansion very close to a critical value at which the universe will just escape its own gravity and expand forever. A little slower and the cosmos would collapse, a little faster and the cosmic material would have long ago completely dispersed. It is interesting to ask precisely how delicately the rate of expansion has been "fine tuned" to fall on this narrow dividing line between two catastrophes. If at time I S (by which the time pattern of expansion was already firmly established) the expansion rate had differed from its actual value by more than 10-18, it would have been sufficient to throw the delicate balance out. The explosive vigour of the universe is thus matched with almost unbelievable accuracy to its gravitating power. The big bang was not evidently, any old bang, but an explosion of exquisitely arranged magnitude.

If the density of the universe was a little bit more, in that case, according to Einstein's relativity theory, the universe would not be expanding due to the attraction forces of atomic particles but contracting, ultimately diminishing to a spot. If the initial density had been a little bit less, then the universe would rapidly be expanding, but in this case, atomic particles would not be attracting each other and no stars and no galaxies would ever have formed. Consequently, man would never come into existence! According to the calculations, the difference between the initial real density of the universe and its critical density, which is unlikely to occur, is less than one percent's one quadrillion. This is similar to place a pencil in a position so that it can stand on its sharp end even after one billion years… Furthermore, as the universe expands, this equilibrium becomes more delicate.

If the rate of expansion one second after the big bang had been smaller by even one part in a hundred thousand million million, the universe would have recollapsed before it ever reached its present size hat, then, does such a remarkable equilibrium indicate? Obviously this instance of "fine-tuning" cannot possibly be explained by chance; it must prove the creation of Allah.
