Placing the Qur’an in the Hotel Rooms

(Reading a letter from an audience): “In the USA, a work is carried on to provide Bibles in all the hotel rooms.” It is not new; there are already Bibles in every hotel room in USA. “While I was asking  myself why we don’t have such a practice, the Master came to my mind. I wrote to you thinking that this can be heard somehow. Master, is there something to do to have the Qur’an in the hotel rooms? I’d appreciate if this can be mentioned in one of the TV shows. May Allah bless you, with salams.” The hotels are private organizations, the state cannot issue such an official decision; as the state is secular, it would look strange.  But they could say, “Let there be the Torah, Bible and Qur’an in the hotel rooms.” I don’t know if it’s possible or not, if it is in accordance with the Constitution. But since these are facilities of the private sector, we can advise them through the Internet, television or radio. But I do not think it is possible by law to make it happen through the state. But in any event, the  Qur’an should be in the hotels, motels, workplaces, hospitals, emergency rooms of the hospitals, hospital rooms, patisseries, everywhere. There should not be any place left without a Qur’an. Books and knowledge should be everywhere. People should love each other everywhere, should be friends, and brothers. 

Coordinated by the Istanbul Culture and Tourism Directorate and with the collaboration of Touristic Hotels and Investors Association (TUROB) and the Istanbul Office of the Mufti, 19,600 Qur’ans and its English translation are distributed to  hotels to be placed in the hotel rooms.
