Once Upon a Time There was Peace in Jerusalem

Adnan Oktar: There is great admiration for Turkey in the Middle East and Arab countries as well as the Turkic world. They all know Abdulhamid and Osman Pasha, people in those regions do not forget the history. Even a senior administrator of Israel says, “You have ruled the whole region with 10 soldiers and 1 master sergeant. The region in which we reside; there were peace, comfort and prosperity.  But now we can not achieve that with such big army.” They long for those days, even Israel longs the Ottoman period. It will truly be a matter of comfort for them insha’Allah.

“Jerusalem Congress and Photo Exhibition during the Ottoman Period” organized by the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture of the Organization of Islamic Conference  (IRCICA) attracted great attention. Syrian Culture Minister Riyad Nasan Aga who spoke at the congress pointed out that the memories of Jerusalem should be preserved and noted the city was a city of peace during the time of the Ottomans.
