The program contained the following statement by a biologist who studies snakes in their natural habitats:
I am most impressed by the way that snakes have evolved to perform complex tasks without arms and legs.
That statement is entirely to do with that individual’s own preconceptions. On close inspection, the word ‘evolution’ does not supply an answer to the questions of how the snake’s ability to move emerged and by what mechanisms it developed. The muscular system of the snake is a most complex one. In addition, the pit vipers which constitute the subject matter of the program also possess unique infrared sensing organs. The US Army is researching ways of imitating this system in the rocket recognition and monitoring systems it seeks to develop for its warplanes.
The fact that an army with the most highly developed military technology in the world should seek to replicate this design in the snake, is an indication of how effective this system, and how complex and intelligent the design on which it is based, really are. This engineering design in the snake of course shows that these creatures are created by conscious design, in other words by God, and not by random natural processes.
That being the case, it would be far more accurate for the biologist whose words were cited above to say:
I am most impressed by the way that snakes have BEEN CREATED to perform complex tasks without arms and legs.
