Mullah's Execution and Lessons to Learn

It is radicalism that gives way to animosity towards Islam all over the world, not real Islam
The fear that all the world experiences today, under the name “Islamophobia”, actually is not towards Islam as religion but towards radicalism. The same fear is also experienced within the Islamic countries, in between different walks of life and different opinions. Even Islamic administrations approach the development of radical groups within their own people with caution. And exactly for that reason even if there is a slightest possibility of such a formation, they attempt to take this situation under their control through the use of oppression, violence and force.
What is going on in Bangladesh right now is the result of Muslims’ not living by the morality of the Qur’an as is due
Today in Bangladesh one of the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, Abdul Qader Mullah’s execution, instead of imprisonment for life, is again the result of the apprehension felt towards such radical groups and radicalism itself. Consequently sincere Muslims who perceive Islam correctly are responsible for presenting the real face of Islam to the whole world and to the people in their own geography. If that is not done, the number of such persecutions carried out in many countries of the world against religious people might increase day by day.
Muslims should support one another in the face of difficulty
Conscience and feelings of Islamic pride would activate a believer in a way that he/she cannot remain silent in the face of the persecution he/she witnesses. Such a believer would do all that he/she can possibly do to stop this persecution and injustice. He/she uses all sorts of means to make his/her voice heard and try to support those wronged people with all his/her might and help them.
In that sense, we, as Allah-fearing Muslims, tried to prevent this persecution executed against Abdul Qader Mullah in Bangladesh and tried to make those inoffensive Muslims’ voices heard all over the world.
“A Muslim would not persecute another Muslim and leave him in harm’s way”
Our Prophet (saas), in one of his hadiths, commands; “A Muslim would not persecute another Muslim and leave him in harm’s way.” (Bukhari, Volume 5, p.2261)
And in the Qur’an Allah says; “Muslims are brothers, so make peace between your brothers..” (Surat Al-Hujurat; 10) In a Muslim country like Bangladesh, believers shedding the blood of their Muslim brothers is absolutely not acceptable according to the morality of the Qur’an.
Muslims are forbearing, compassionate and forgiving in the face of mistakes
Muslims should be forgiving, compassionate and merciful towards people. What should be done now is to prevent people from making the same mistake.
Allah states that Muslims can overcome difficulties by uniting. Setting aside the opposition they have in between their own people, not only the people of Bangladesh, but all the Muslims in the world should unite and carry out this command of Allah. That is because our Lord says; “(Muslims are) Those who, when they are wronged, defend themselves.” (Surat Ash-Shura; 39) and “Allah loves those who fight in His Way in ranks like well-built walls.” (Surat As-Saff ; 4)
And in Surat Al-Anfal; Verse 73, Allah also states that there will be persecution, dissension, pain, wars, and that conflicts and bloodshed will prevail in the world if Muslims do not unite and support each other; “.. If you do not act in this way, there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.” In doing so Allah has reminded Muslims that under such circumstances Muslims will remain weak and be defeated in the face of such injustice.
It is very easy for Muslims to form a union of forces; it should not be seen as difficult.
Actually it is very easy for Muslims to collaborate in a spirit of unity and act as a single voice in the face of injustices in the world. Many Muslims exaggerate the necessary effort and by producing possible scenarios, regard forming such a unity as very difficult. In such a mentality, matters that can easily be overcome are evaluated as if they are great obstacles and thus people avoid taking an action. They imagine that global balances, conflicts of interest, social, political, economical or cultural differences might render such a union impossible. The truth of the matter is that there is nothing that could be evaluated as difficult or complex. This, actually, is a union of solidarity that every man of good conscience would lovingly approve and enjoy.
Such a unity will bring peace to all other countries and faiths. Muslims who have been dispersed on a very wide geography in the world and who have a very crowded population, by living in a spirit of love and brotherhood would make peace, tranquility, justice, tolerance, mercy and forgiveness prevail all over the world.
