Mr. Adnan Oktar has been saying for many years that crying for our martyrs is not compatible with the Qur'an. Indeed, after Mr. Oktar’s persistent statements, there has been a remarkable increase in the number of favorable remarks of the family members of martyrs. August 15th, 2015: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: May God have mercy on our martyrs. We desire their rank of martyr. We supplicate to God to He grant us this high rank as soon as possible. We congratulate his father and mother. We congratulate our veterans. May God grant a long life to survivors, to our military members. May God protect us from cruel bullets. God damns the treacherous and cruel PKK: May God destroy them. May God make our army victorious, insha'Allah. August 12th, 2015: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: If you say day and night, “Clamor is increasing ”, then “Clamor is rising up” it is reported as news. First this must be banned. This statement is improper for a young man, for our youth. What an odd act. A brave man, a valiant man is martyred while defending his homeland. And he cries for this. What are soldiers for? It is the art of killing and dying. A soldier is going to kill anyway. You are sending your children for this. "Either you will die," you say, "or you will kill". This is a feature of military service. This is characteristic of the military. A soldier dies or kills while defending the homeland. Or gets wounded. Is there any other way? So what is it to cry about it? August 5th, 2015: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: We see the funeral of martyrs day and night. And we see people crying, fainting and clamoring at the funerals of martyrs. However the government can also supply it. The officers and clergymen who attend to the funeral ceremony can persuade the mothers and the fathers by telling them martyrdom is an honor and they need to show their joy, that doing something that makes the PKK happy is improper; they need to use words that makes the PKK angry. They can do what is necessary by telling them that crying about marytrs is not compatible with the Qur'an. Our nation never cried when we gave martyrs in the Çanakkale War or in the Dumlupinar War. Crying about martyrs with grief is not acceptable. Martyrdom is an honor. Crying is not acceptable for us. We did not cry in the Çanakkale War. We did not cry in the Dumlupınar War. We did not cry in the Malazgirt War. Why would we cry? As a nation who desires martyrdom, as a nation who regards martyrdom as an honor, why would we cry for martyrs? Ignorance makes people cry. Maybe they cry out of excitement, but mostly they cry out of ignorance. November 26th, 2012: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: Martyrs are both rejoiced and they herald martyrdom. What are you saying? “Let’s mourn.” What does mourning mean? It means to grieve. Why do you grieve? You grieve because you don’t like what God creates for you. In other words, far from it, you are angry with God. September 5th, 2012: A9 TV DİDEM ÜRER: The mother of Sergeant Ahmet Bozkurt -who was martyred in Bayt ash-Shabap- had an attitude in the manner you have spoken of, masha'Allah, and she has bidden farewell to him peacefully, cheerfully. ADNAN OKTAR: We should keep this mother on the agenda constantly. She is the ideal mother, she is the real mother, and she is a strong, reliable person. Our valiant boy, God took him along as a martyr. It’s a very big honor and glory. Do not we want that blessing? We want it, everyone wants it. Everyone regards martyrdom as a great honor, as a great dignity. Therefore our mother had a good attitude that suits the Turkish mother. Well done to our mother, masha'Allah. Let’s do this mother a favor, insha'Allah. A martyr's mother should behave like her. I congratulate all the mothers of the martyrs, she had an excellent attitude. That is the expected attitude for a Muslim. What did the companions of Prophet Muhammad (saas) do when Hazrat Hamza (pbuh) was martyred? They continued their lives enthusiastically. What happened when Hazrat Ali (r.a.) was martyred? They continued enthusiastically to struggle. We have the same logic, the same belief, the same faith. August 22nd, 2012: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: Martyrdom is a great rank. They are together with the prophets, the faithful. Martyrs go directly to Heaven. Are you crying because he went to Heaven? You are crying because you think he died , you don’t believe. You think he has disappeared. Would you cry for someone who went to Heaven? You should be happy for who went to Heaven. A Muslim rejoices when his brother goes to Heaven. This world is the place where sufferings and difficulties are experienced; martyrs go to the place of joy, a place of endless holidays, a place of refuge from the place of pains and difficulties, from the place where sufferings are experienced. They take on a new dimension. How happy they are. How beautiful that prophets embrace each other, they embrace Hazrat Ali (ra). July 3rd, 2010: Kocaeli TV ADNAN OKTAR: In the verses, Allah says “beauty” for martyrdom. But we see him sobbing and crying for martyrs. That means that you don’t accept this verse. You can’t cry for beauty. You shouldn’t cry because of sadness; it is forbidden. |
