What He Said?What Happened?

Recently, Mr. Adnan Oktar has been frequently stressing that women must be free and men must in no way intervene in how women should dress or act. This has been also expressed by some parliamentary deputies.

DİDEM ÜRER: In response to a question whether deputies can wear headscarves in the Turkish Assembly, Mr. Sahin said, “There is no statement in the internal regulation of the Turkish Assembly banning the headscarf. It is only said, “Ladies wear a lady’s suit. After  Eid, some changes may be done in the internal regulation.”

ADNAN OKTAR: In the time of Kenan Pasha, maybe they did it in order to prevent any disorder, but it is not evident why they did it. There was really such a law. Whether with a headscarf or wearing revealing clothes, ladies must be able to go anywhere they wish. Such a hegemony of men over women is very abnormal. They constantly intervene in how women must act. Do women ever do it? They must let ladies be free, they know what to wear.

ADNAN OKTAR: Bigotry has enveloped the world. However women are very smart; they are smarter than men. They can think more deeply. We can see it, everyone sees it. Their cleanliness, affection and sweetness is better than men. Therefore it is evident that women must be at the fore everywhere; but of course both men and women are blessed beings. God created them equal.

Women make all sorts of decisions themselves. Men need to be respectful. Do women direct men with their decisions? They don’t. Then men should not bother women.

ADNAN OKTAR: A policy and tone that directs ladies, a pedantic tone is annoying and disturbing. Ladies are quite smart, they are very urbane, quality people. God created us equal; He created men and women as equal beings. They are equal in all ways.

Ladies must be free. No one is of the  status to counsel ladies about how to conduct themselves. If this must be done, then it must be ladies who must counsel men. They should be seen as superior.

Following some  AK Party deputies entering  the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with headscarves, Pervin Buldan, the Group Deputy Chairman of the BDP Group said, “We ask men not to meddle in how women must conduct themselves. Men have no right to talk about this. As women, we do not want to receive any recommendations from men.”
