Islamic Book Tackles ‘deceit' Of Evolution

2019
In its 21 July, 2007, issue The Gazette, published in English in Canada and also known as the Montreal Gazette, carried a report titled “Islamic book tackles ‘deceit’ of evolution.” This report in The Gazette, which has a circulation of 142,00 and is one of the oldest newspapers in Northern America, summarized Harun Yahya’s message in Atlas of Creation as follows:

The principal argument of Atlas of Creation ... is that creatures living today are just like creatures that lived in the fossil past. Ergo, Yahya writes, evolution must be impossible, illusory, a lie, a deception...

The article goes on to say that people who had received the book were “just astounded at its size and production values.” This book by Harun Yahya, which has caused a great stir all over the world, especially in Europe and America, is described in these terms:

HARUN YAHYA’S Atlas of Creation is a glossy, 800-page challenge to Darwin’s theory that has been distributed across the U.S. One recipient noted: ‘This is a guy with some influence – unfortunately for mainstream science.’

The continuation of the article carried the 17 July, 2007, New York Times report that desctibed the impact of the Atlas.
