Slate Magazine, online magazine broadcasting under Washington Post Company of America with more than 10 million visitors, devoted a place to an item called “Harun Yahya, Chief of Turkish Creationism” on its French page dated February 9th, 2011. The item written by Ariane Bonzon Harun Yahya conferences titled “The Collapse of the Theory of Evolution and the Fact of Creation”, “The Miracles of The Quran” and “Islam is the Religion of Peace” organized in France were included.

Ariane Bonzon who attended the conference held at Théatre du Gymnase Marie-Bell in Paris cites her impressions about the conference and mentions the beauty of the gilded hall and that the brochures presented at the entrance ran out within 10 minutes. (You can look at the pictures of the conference from here and watch Mr. Adnan Oktar’s live connection from here.)

In addition, in her article she states that the hall bursted into loud laughter with Richard Dawkins‘ statement that life was created by aliens and then the hall’s laughters doubled when Richard Dawkins‘ video where he could not give an example to mutation was displayed.

Later on her article, she devotes a place to the comments of people who attended the conference. For instance a pharmacist lady who attended the conference with her husband says these:

“I discovered Harun Yahya on the internet. His books can be downloaded from there. It is revealed in the Quran that man was created by Allah. Allah does not say something that is not true and Harun Yahya proves this to us. Darwin’s theories are wrong!”

An engineer named Nassim makes this comment:

“If I were attending my science classes now, I would have proofs to tell against the lies of my lecturer. One has to accept the theory of evolution and all the values it supports in order to pass class in high school.”
