Cuba Becomes Reconciled to Islam

The number of Muslims in Cuba, currently under the communism rule, increases every passing day. 2000 Muslims living in Cuba are waiting for the building of the mosque construction of which will start soon. President of the Cuban Islamic Union, Yahya Pedro, tells that he heard of Islam for the first time via the Muslims coming from Africa in 1966. Mr Pedro who became a Muslim with the help of a diplomat coming from Togo says for the construction of the first mosques, “ With the help of Allah, with the construction of the mosque that the government of Cuba promised in May, there will be a wonderful spiritual shelter for the Muslims who seek the way of Islam.
