Anyone causing Muslims to be passive by misinterpreting the movement of the Mahdi will have to bear a heavy responsibility.

Through the hadiths, our Prophet (saas) has described the End Times, the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as), his moral values, physical features and work, the return to Earth of the Prophet Jesus (as) and the characteristics and activities of the antichrist in great detail. Our Prophet (saas) also set out the life span of the world and imparted the glad tidings that the century we are living in will be the one in which the Prophet Jesus (as) returns to earth, when Hazrat Mahdi (as) appears in the open, when the whole Islamic world unites under the leadership of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and when Islamic moral values will prevail.

The signs taking place over the last 30 years, and that are increasingly intensifying and accelerating, openly declare that we are in the age of the movement of the Mahdi. Even so, some people are still trying to conceal this evident fact by saying that

•    Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be a collective personality, or that
•    Hazrat Mahdi (as) has already come and gone, or that
•    Hazrat Mahdi (as) is a book, or that
•    Hazrat Mahdi (as) will never come at all, or that
•    Hazrat Mahdi (as) will come in 570 years’ time.

However, it is a source of great joy, happiness and fervor for believers to be living in the age when the Prophet Jesus (as) will return to Earth and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear. It is obvious that once the 1.5 billion member Islamic world lives in the awareness it is in such an important age, the result will be a most productive and intelligent force. That great force will be a most important instrument in the liberation of the oppressed Muslim world and in the moral values of Islam spreading across the world.

If people fail to follow the path shown by Allah and our Prophet (saas) and to attach the proper importance to the subject at a time when people are so in need of faith, love and reason, then they will be assuming a grave responsibility in the sight of Allah. To ignore such a highly important matter and not to seek a solution in true faith and prepare the way for the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) but to look for other paths instead can, may Allah forbid, result in unexpected suffering.
Increasing one’s economic strength, training architects, engineers and lawyers and merely trying to raise one’s level of culture represents no solution at a time when,

•    The whole world is being rocked by floods, earthquakes, epidemics and disasters of all kinds,
•    The movement of the antichrist is using all its means to spread irreligion and unbelief,
•    People are suffering the terrible damage caused by superstitious ideologies such as Darwinism, materialism and atheism,
•    And the blood of Muslims is being spilled al over the world, in the manner revealed by our Prophet (saas).

Of course, every Muslim has a duty to do his utmost in all the areas listed above, but if he turns his back on the path shown by our Prophet (saas) in doing so, if he tries to forget the fact we are living in the End Times, if he does not feel the excitement of Allah’s sending His envoy the Prophet Jesus (as) back to earth after 2000 years and does not strive to support Hazrat Mahdi (as) in the knowledge that we are living in the age of the movement of the Hazrat Mahdi (as), then Allah may transform all these developments that look so positive into calamities instead.

It is therefore essential for those people who are trying, deliberately or otherwise, not to see the reality that Allah is clearly showing by way of hundreds of signs, striving not to understand the more than 150 miracles described by our Prophet (saas) that have come about and want to make people forget, by the use of various forced interpretations, that we are living in the age of the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) to stop doing these things. Instead of pacifying Muslims through various inaccurate interpretations, every Muslim has a responsibility to tell everyone of the glad news imparted by our Prophet (saas) and great Islamic scholars, to cause rejoicing in the whole Islamic world through these reports, and to direct this fervor and joy in such a way as to benefit the Islamic world and all mankind. By Allah's leave, the whole world will witness the glad tidings foretold by our Lord in Surat an-Nasr within the next 10-15 years. In order to avoid regret when that day comes, everyone must cling to the Qur’an and the Sunna and strive for the global dominion of the moral values of Islam.

When Allah’s help and victory have arrived and you have seen people entering Allah’s religion in droves, then glorify your Lord’s praise and ask His forgiveness. He is the Ever-Returning. (Surat an-Nasr, 1-3)
