114 Foreigners Became Muslim

The Manavgat county of Antalya hosted the highest number of conversion ceremonies in 2009.  Whereas a total of 114 non-Muslims and atheists became Muslim in the last 46 years, this number reached to 20 in 2009.

According to the statistics of the Manavgat administration, those who became Muslim in the last 46 years, are the citizens of Moldova, Georgia, Germany, Russia, Holland, Belgium, France, England, Austria, India, Ukraine, Commonwealth of Independent States and Australia.

The first place among those honored by Islam, belong to the Moldovians with 15 people.

Germany and Holland shared the second and third places with 14 and 13 people respectively. 19 atheists also took place in those converting to Islam religion.
